When I was a child, I loved the fabric ham. What do you know about? Canned meat stuff with white paper packaging … a bit like pot. It’s a bit like ham salad, but with a little different texture. I remember so many lunches with ham directed when I was a child. I don’t know why I do it, but I love things.

Well, as an adult, I always want this flavor. So I decided to create my own directed ham. It is fast, easy and can be used on a sandwich, that’s how I like it, or can be served as a dip or spread out on crackers. And it’s quite close to original things. In addition, I know exactly what is, if you know what I mean. 😄

Although I normally buy chopped ham in a pack in the meat box with grocery store, it is also a great way to use your remaining ham! This dish may not seem to be purdy, but it is certainly delicious! It’s been a lot, but the recipe is easily divided, if you need it.

What is directed ham?

You probably remember the ham directed by your childhood. It is a canned meat product that has entered cans wrapped in white paper. Directed ham is a propagation, dip or a finely chopped cooked ham garnish. The ham is then mixed with several ingredients, including mayonnaise, mustard, spices and seasoning.

Dimitarian ham is generally served cold on savory crackers or in a sandwich as propagation. The managed ham sandwiches are absolutely delicious! Think, tuna salad sandwich or egg salad sandwich! Yum!

You can also use devile ham like a dip with fries or vegetables, such as celery. Devile ham makes a delicious salty snack or an aperitif, and it is an excellent way to use these leftovers of ham.

How to eat directed ham

There are so many ways you can enjoy the directed ham:

  • Propagation – Simply get a spoon full of the mixture and immerse it on a salt cracker. The salty cracking of the crackers associated with the flavor of directed ham is so good!
  • In a sandwich – I love a fabric ham sandwich. Small the mixture between two slices of good old white sandwich bread … yes madam! My mouth was watering now!
  • Dive – I love to take a handful of celery sticks and dip them in a bowl of directed ham. It also makes an excellent decline to go with fritos scoops! It would be an excellent tailgate snack!

Necessary ingredients:

  • Ham – You can use your remaining ham or buy diced ham from the grocery store. Anyway, you will need about 4 cups of ham finely diced.
  • Mayo – Duke’s mayonnaise is really the way to follow with this recipe, but really any brand will do the trick.
  • Dijon Mustard – You need to use Dijon mustard to get the tart flavor that I appreciate so much.
  • Pungent sauce – Choose your favorite, but also consider your own tolerance to spices and that of your guests. I think 1/4 teaspoon is the perfect amount. And, I have never had any complaints from the company or the family.
  • Worcestershire sauce – Apart from the way to pronounce worksorshire, that’s obvious. I just love Worcestershire sauce, and it goes so well with this recipe.
  • White vinegar – The dish needs a little acid to cut the fat and salt and we get it ordinary white vinegar.

How to store directed ham?

Homemade felled ham should be kept in the refrigerator in an airtight container or covered with plastic film. Dimitarian ham generally keeps up to 5 days in the refrigerator.

You will need to adjust this time if you use leftover ham. The ham is usually good for 3 to 5 days after cooking. This same expiration date will apply to your ham directed from the date on which the ham was really cooked.

The disclocked ham is not well when it is frozen and then thawed. When it is thawed, consistency becomes a little muddy, so I do not recommend ham freezing led after its preparation.
